General Christmas training

Please speak to your coach if you are unsure of Christmas training times (Brian’s group and the Sprints / jumps group times are detailed below) but generally…

Young athletes will be training  from ten till half eleven/midday on Tues and Sundays throughout the holidays.

Seniors are training six to eight as usual tomorrow (Tuesday 23rd).

No training on Christmas Day.

As far as I’m aware, there is no training on new years day but it is best to check this with your coach.

Merry Christmas!

A plea from one of the club’s new Life Members

A Life Membership – what a wonderful surprise! I thought I’d take this opportunity to appeal to some of you to come along and help us keep our family-friendly, competitive club running smoothly.
As well as being an athlete and coach, I am a member of the club committee, an official and a team manager. On this note, the club always needs officials for meetings to go ahead, and as the club gets points for providing them, officials are vitally important. So if you would be happy to do a one day officials course and help out at some meetings in the summer, please leave your details at the coffee bar. The same goes for team managing and coaching.
If you think you could volunteer your services for our lovely athletics club, please leave your details behind the coffee bar and myself or another committee member will get back to you. Who knows….you might be collecting your silver ‘Life Membership’ plate one day in the future!
Many thanks,
Meg Evans

A Heart of England win for RSCAC

20140831_155859Well done to all athletes who competed in today’s Heart of England. WE WON THE MATCH! This put us third in the league so we just missed out on promotion but an excellent win today nonetheless.

There were too many successes to mention everyone by name so I just want to say a big well done to everyone.

A special mention to our under eleven medalists (pictured here)….Evan Pritchard (75m silver, 11.2s ), Freya Liddington (75m silver, 11.6s and howler gold 30.04m) & Joe Creed (75m bronze, 11.5s). Elsa Buchanan also claimed two medals but was unable to come today. Gold in the long jump, 3.94m & bronze in 600m, 2.04.3).
