Just to clarify that club training sessions now have to cease due to the national lockdown.
Please keep yourselves fit and healthy. We hear Joe Wicks is back for those that don’t have to sign on to school or work at 9am!
Unfortunately, due to the latest national lockdown, all training has been suspended until further notice.
We will of course let you know as soon as possible when we can resume training sessions.
In the meantime, keep running (mums and dads get out there with your kids!)
And yes, Joe Wicks is back too!!
From this Thursday 31st December:
ALL athletes must bring with them to ALL sessions the correct kit to train in:
-Issued Flori Jacket
-Sweat Shirt
-Coat, Hat and Glove
-Long tracksuit bottoms…..no shorts or cut offs showing the ankles/skins
If athletes do not adhere to this they will remain in the clubhouse and arrangements made for parents to collect them.
RSCAC sessions are cancelled this evening for safety reasons. Wyndley have taken the decision to close the track due to the snow. Enjoy your night off!
CONGRATULATIONS to Micky Browne, the winner of £100 in this year’s 100 Club Single Number Draw, with ball number 14.
A big thankyou to you all for your support of the 100 Club which raises money for club funds.
Numbers are still available – a snip at £16.20 a year. Email johnmills12@yahoo.com for further information.
Please stay safe and well and have a wonderful Christmas.
Sport England and England Athletics have eased the measures placed on U18 sport meaning that u18 (plus parents/guardians of course) are now allowed to travel to areas for competition regardless of tiers.
In such case, I wanted to advise you of an opportunity to race at Prestwold Hall on Sunday 13th December. Initially this event was offered only to Leicestershire competitors however now that the restrictions are eased the event is opened up to all.
Categories are u11/13/15/17. There will also be races throughout the day for adults.
Rest assured that the event is fully Covid secure. For those who were there for the school’s event on the 31st October you will be pleased to hear that we are using a different course. We will however still be using the now infamous multiple start system!
For possibly the last opportunity to race this year click the following link!

Hi all. Updated RA guidance.
❗Seniors, please note: Over 18s living in Tier 3 cannot travel to another Tier 3 to train or compete (unless for individual training – so if a senior is training alone, they can cross to another Tier 3.) Over 18s who are disabled and coaches can cross to another Tier 3, inline with rules for u18s.
For U18s, training is the same as before Lockdown 2.
Just in case you weren’t aware… training resumes today at the usual time, meeting by the hammer/discus cage inside the track. Looking forward to seeing all our wonderful athletes again!
