Stop Press! Stop Press! Race at Prestwold Hall on 13th December.

Sport England and England Athletics have eased the measures placed on U18 sport meaning that u18 (plus parents/guardians of course) are now allowed to travel to areas for competition regardless of tiers.

In such case, I wanted to advise you of an opportunity to race at Prestwold Hall on Sunday 13th December. Initially this event was offered only to Leicestershire competitors however now that the restrictions are eased the event is opened up to all.

Categories are u11/13/15/17. There will also be races throughout the day for adults.

Rest assured that the event is fully Covid secure. For those who were there for the school’s event on the 31st October you will be pleased to hear that we are using a different course. We will however still be using the now infamous multiple start system!

New EA Guidance – Seniors Take Note

Hi all. Updated RA guidance.

https://bit.ly/GuidanceDec4

❗Seniors, please note: Over 18s living in Tier 3 cannot travel to another Tier 3 to train or compete (unless for individual training – so if a senior is training alone, they can cross to another Tier 3.) Over 18s who are disabled and coaches can cross to another Tier 3, inline with rules for u18s.

For U18s, training is the same as before Lockdown 2.

COVID UPDATE

We have received confirmation that Wyndley will be opening again on Wednesday 2nd December. RSCAC are planning to start training again on Thursday 3rd December! We are still awaiting guidance from England Athletics on guidance to confirm group numbers and restrictions.
Please keep an eye on the social media/Website for further updates. Individual coaches will be able to guide on specific training arrangements.

U11s Endurance Squad: please read!!

As we go into winter training, we need to assess the ability of our athletes to cope with the sessions.

With that in mind we have organised a couple of assessment sessions which will take place on the track  on Tuesday 13th October and Thursday 22nd October.

Please ensure that your child attends either of these sessions. They will need to be at the club no later than 5.50pm. The assessment will be over by 6.40pm after which training will continue until the usual finishing time of 7.30pm.

We look forward to seeing you then!
