Warwickshire XC Championships – 4 January
A fantastic day of cross country racing at Halesowen saw Royal Sutton athletes return with a good haul of medals and trophies. On a really testing hilly course with lots of thick mud there were victories for Katie Ingle and Georgia Curry. Megan McBrien finished in 2nd place in the U20 women’s race, whilst 11 year old Alex Stapleton had an outstanding run to finish 3rd in the U13 boys race. There were further individual medals for Andrea Deathridge and Nick Corker in the Masters events. There were also team medals for the U13 girls, U15 girls, U17 men and Masters men.
Lots of runners recorded top 10 finishes which should ensure that there are plenty of Royal Sutton athletes competing at the Inter County Championships in March. Well done everyone!
There are some great photos taken by Marc Kirsten on our FLICKR page.

Well done to John Topliss who is our number 1 pundit judging by the number of comments posted in 2013.
Here’s an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 48,000 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 18 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
