Midland Vets League – 30 April

We had a good turnout by the men at the 1st Veterans athletics fixture at Telford on Wednesday evening. Richard Henry had a great run in the 100m, whilst Donald Brown and Graham Felton put in good performances in the sprints and throws. Donald enjoyed his M50 100m sprint so much that he followed it up 5 minutes later by running the M40 race as a guest.

The middle distance runners were also out in force with Paul Thompson, Carl Dunne, Richard Lewis, Steve Marklew, Roy Humpherson and Nick Corker all stretching their legs.  Paul Thompson had a particular strong run in the 1500m, whilst Roy must have been knackered after completing the 2000m walk and the 1500m. Great stuff Roy! Thanks also to Phil Pollock for taking on Team Manager duties for the evening.

The provisional results are available below and the full results including the times run for guests will be available soon.
