Promotion for RSCAC Seniors!
After an outstanding team performance today, Royal Sutton Coldfield’s Seniors have secured promotion into Division 3 of the Midlands League.
A massive well done to all the athletes who took part as well as to our officials who secured us maximum ‘officials points’.
There were many 1st places, PBs and Season’s Bests today, showing that everyone truly gave their all. Below is the winning 4 x 400m men’s team of: Shaun Evans, Frederic Tremblay, Kane Howitt and Nicholas Pryce.

We only found out we had secured promotion right at the end, which is why this photo is only of a third of the team!

YDL Promotion Final – 5th Place Finish
Well done to all the U13s and U15s who competed at Banbury yesterday in the Lower Age YDL Promotion Final. A 5th place finish is a great result, as due to holidays we only had 2 U15s boys! It was great to see so many PBs at the last lower age group event of the year.
Thank you to all the officials and team managers, as without you this event wouldn’t have gone ahead.
English Schools Success
Well done to Maddy Hughes, Isabel Male and Jasmine Walker for representing the West Midlands at English Schools yesterday and today.
Competing against the best in the country, Maddy (hammer) finished 13th and Isabel (200m) finished 4th in the final after storming to a new PB & Club Record in her heat (25.07).
Jasmine (javelin) finished 6th with 39.40m (just 14cm short of her PB). She was about 2m short of a medal as 3rd place was 41.59m. There were 21 starters. The top 9 all threw National or English Schools standards. Jasmine beat some big names, e.g. Peanut Meeking and Annabel Peach, so she did very well indeed.
Well done to all 3 girls – we’re very proud of you.
Second Place Finish for the Seniors in Newport
A massive well done to RSCAC seniors for coming second in today’s league competition. This success was not only due to top three finishes, but also due to athletes doing extra events to gain as many points as possible. A massive well done to everyone, including the officials who missed an important football match to enable the event to take place!
Promition at the end of the season is within reach! So if you’re a RSCAC athlete who is in the Under 17 age group or older, please put Sunday 5th August in your diaries as that’s the last league meeting of the year. Let’s aim for promotion!
