Trafford Grand Prix – 27 May
The sprinters were in great form at the Trafford Grand Prix on Tuesday. Nicholas Pryce won both his races, recording 10.93 in the 100m and 21.96 in the 200m. His times were the fastest recorded on the night (out of 12 100m races and 10 200m races). Nick Mbewe ran 11.74 the 100m and 23.49 to win his 200m race. Well done guys!

Lorna Foster to be a face of the Commonwealth Games

Warwickshire County Championships – 17/18 May
There was perfect weather and some fantastic results at the Warwickshire County Championships with lots of medal winners and many athletes smashing their PBs. In addition, congratulations to Chrissie Prince who set a new club record in the U17 shot with a throw of 10.50m. This broke a record set by B Malony of 9.92m 37 years ago.

Loughborough International – 18 May
Laura Whittle and Katie Ingle both had fantastic runs at the Loughborough International meeting on Sunday. Laura ran a great time of 9.04 to win the 3000m by a 14 second margin. Katie, who was representing the GB and Northern Ireland juniors ran a time of 10.24 to finish 4th in the 3000m steeplechase.
Hill West 10k
Well done to Russell Simpson who recorded his first ever race victory at the Hill West 10k in Sutton Park yesterday. There was also a great run by Colin McAuley who finished in 2nd place. The results were particularly impressive given that both athletes had already raced on the Saturday at the BMAF relays – Great running guys!
BMAF Road Relays – 19 May
We had five teams competing at the BMAF road relays in Sutton Park on Saturday. The highlight was provided by the M45 team of Simon Corker, Rob Andrew, Colin McAuley and Steve Marklew who finished in a superb 10th place.
There were great efforts by all the teams – The W45 team were 16th, the M35 team finished 25th, the M45 B team were 32nd and the M55 team were 28th. Well done everyone who took part!
