Well done to our senior XC team who won promotion back to Division 1 following a fantastic win in the final match of the season at Gloucester today. We packed our 6 1st team scorers into the top 39 places with Shaun Evans winning his second race of the season, Ollie Haradence 10th, Nick Corker 11th, Tom Chew 12th, Jerome Austin 28th and Dave Long 39th. Our other six runners battled manfully in tough conditions meaning the B team finished 3rd – well done Simon Corker, Fred Tremblay, Steve Marklew, Paul Terleski, Steve Semple and Matt Powell. This means that overall we finished in 2nd place for the season behind Cannock & Staffs. Well done to everyone who has competed this season. Special mention to 4 runners who have been the core of the team:
Shaun Evans, who won the last two races and was the joint top individual runner for the season and top junior.
- Ollie Haradence, who was in the top 10 for the season.
- Tom Chew, who has improved every race and finished in a best ever 12th position today.
- Jerome Austin, who was the 3rd placed junior for the season.
Thanks to our supporters who braved the cold and wet yesterday and to Phil Pollock for doing our officiating duties. Full results are available here: RESULTS
