Posted: April 5, 2014 by RSCAC in Race reports

Laura - National Road RelaysWell done to Laura Whittle who had a superb run at the National Road Relays in Sutton Park today. She destroyed the field on the 1st leg and posted the 3rd fastest time of the day.

All the women had great runs, with Megan McBrien running particularly well as she battled it out with Olympic athlete Hannah England on the 2nd leg. Overall the team finished in 20th place, recording their best result in years – well done also to Amy Johnson, Kate McBrien, Vici Richardson and Larna Partridge.

The men, who were missing a number of key runners, finished in 51st place. Simon Corker and Paul Terleski ran particularly well on the long legs, whilst Fred Tremblay and Paul Davey had a great battle for the fastest short leg – Fred won!

Thanks to everyone who came down to cheer us on and a special thanks to Marc Kirsten who took some great photos.
