Nicholas Pryce and Kanisha Hector were in action at the indoor open meeting at the High Performance Centre. They both put in excellent performances. Kanisha was 1st in the U20 Women 60m in a personal best time of 8.11. Nicholas won both his races. In the Senior Men 100m he ran a personal best of 11.12. In the 60m he ran 7.16.

A successful day in the sunshine at the 7 Pools Run
with the winner in the Men’s race (Nick Corker),
the runner up in the Women’s race (Andrea Deathridge see photo below)
and four in the top six overall (Simon Corker was 3rd, Tony Hinchley was 5th and Colin McAuley was 6th).
Other RSC runners competing included Dave Liddall, Matthew Lumley, Clive Sayers, Roy Humpherson and Bunny Kyd.

Saturday saw the last major race of the cross country season with the English Schools cross country championships at Ilton, Somerset. A number of our athletes were in action with the highest placed athlete being Kate Ingle, who finished 8th in the senior girls race. The full results are available here.
Home athletes competed at the Florette Fradley 10K in a field of about 900 athletes.
Nick Corker set a fast pace from the outset, and battled with Ashley Hurdman before pulling away to finally win the race in a new personal best time of 32:37.
Other club runners had success too.
Tony Hinchley was 22nd and Clive Sayers was 1st for his age group.
Mark Rickards (who knocked 2 minutes off his PB) and Bunny Kyd also competed.

Seven of our athletes were in action for Warwickshire at the Inter Counties XC Championships at Cofton Park on Saturday. The star performance came from Katie Ingle who finished in a fantastic 9th position in the U17 Girls age group. This follows an 8th place finish at the English National. Stefan Anderson set two new indoor PBs whilst competing at the U17 England Indoor Championships in Birmingham last weekend. In the 60m he recorded a time of 7.36. In the 200m he recorded a time of 23.28 and made it through to the semi finals. Both were excellent performances, especially considering Stefan still has another year to go in the U17 age group.

An outstanding performance by the U17 women who finished in second place in the English National XC Championships at Parliament Hill today. This tops an exceptional season in which they have already won the Warwickshire and Midlands Championships. The individual placings were Katie Ingle (8th), Megan McBrien (21st), Rebecca Robinson (28th) and Gabrielle Kinney (42nd).
We also had runners competing in the U15 girls and boys age groups. For the U15 girls Elemena Saunders finished in a superb 20th place, Elizabeth Ward was 196th, Molly Rees was 205th and Sophie Karksi was 210th. The team was 20th. For the U15 boys Alfie McBrien was 98th, Shaun Evans was 123rd and Jerome Austin was 197th.
