Well done everyone – Let’s hope for lots more records this summer!

Royal Sutton Grand Prix – Kingsbury Parkrun – 10 May

The ‘creme de la creme’ of RSCAC middle and long distance running will be competing against each other (for once) in the Kingsbury parkrun on Saturday at 9am.

This parkrun event is part of the Royal Sutton Grand Prix races, where final results are age-graded. Further details of the Grand Prix can be found here.

Kingsbury Parkrun, held in the Kinsgbury Water Park, is a fast and somewhat twisty course, which can be muddy in some parts.

Good luck to everyone for this early-rise 5k blast.

The return of the Royal Sutton Grand Prix

Calling all distance runners, this summer sees the return of the Royal Sutton Grand Prix. Compete against your club mates in a series of events on all terrains, from the mile to the marathon, to earn bragging rights and to claim the accolade of top distance runner at Royal Sutton.

We’ve selected eight events across the summer where we’ll compete against each other: Royal Sutton Grand Prix Events – 2014

In addition, the best times gained in any half marathon or marathon run between 1 January 2014 and 31 August (the date of the final race) will also count.

And there are no excuses if you think you’re too old to compete. The results will be age graded so for once age will count in your favour. The winner will be the athlete with the highest points score from the best five scoring races following the final race of the season – our very own Little Aston 5.

So get the dates in the diary and start training now.

Keep an eye on the club website for further details or speak to Roy Humpherson or Steve Marklew.
