Endurancelife Real Relay – 5 July

Well done to Andrea Deathridge and Clive Sayer who completed a 10 mile leg of the Endurancelife Real Relay today.
The event, which involves hundred of runners, is an attempt to follow the entire 8,000 mile route of the official Olympic Torch around the British Isles in one continuous non-stop journey, running every step of the way.  Andrea and Clive’s leg was from Blake Street Station via Aldridge and Stubbers Green, to Great Wyrley.

New club record – U17 boys 4x100m relay

Our relay boys have done it again and broken a record that, before this year, had stood since 1993.  Representing West Midlands Schools in an invitation Under 17 Boys 4x100m Relay at the Olympic Trials at Alexander Stadium on Saturday, the Sutton quartet of Alister Breuns, Nicholas Mbewe, Kane Howitt and Paolo Odogwu scorched around the track to record a time of 45.55.  This improved the record they set earlier this year by 0.35 secs.  Congratulations to the team with special congratulations to their coach Tony Ashford.  The updated club records are available to view on the Performances page here
