Birmingham Half Marathon – 18 October

Well done to all the RSC runners who completed the Birmingham Half Marathon today, with some cracking times recorded. The first runners home for the club were Ollie Haradence who completed the course in 1 hour 14 and Andrea Deathridge who finished in 1 hour 28. Both also managed to get their Royal Blue vests on TV – remember to smile for the camera next time guys!!! Great Birmingham Run Results 2015

West Midlands Young Athletes XC – 11 October

Last weekend the juniors kicked off the XC season with a match at Northampton. There were some fantastic performances across the age groups. In particular there were a number of top ten finishes:

  • Hope Stirland – 2nd; Arantxa Middleton – 7th; Sian Duval – 10th (U11 girls)
  • Georgia Curry – 5th (U17 women)
  • Alex Jones – 7th (U17 men)

The club finished 4th on the day out of 20 clubs – a great start to the season. The full results are available on the WMYACCL website.

Next up is Wolverhampton in early November. See you all there!!!

 

National Road Relays – 3 October

21293625373_1020c6d4de_oWell done to everyone who ran in the road relays in Sutton Park this weekend. On Saturday the senior teams took to the roads, with the senior women finishing 55th and the senior men finishing 61st. The leg times are below:

The highlight was a fantastic run by Shaun Evans who recorded the fastest leg time by an RSC athlete for many years.

21755101370_78b9328efb_oOn Sunday it was the turn of our Young Athletes. There were some strong performances across the age groups. The highlights were 31st place finishes for the U13 girls and U17 women’s teams, a 41st place finish for the U17 men and a 46th place finish for the U15 girls.
